I Didn't Do This
Okay, I didn't do this. My friend Lisa did it! I was busy elsewhere and while my back was turned she installed hair barrettes and now he's hooked!

Snappy
For the day Julius is the proud owner of a little turtle he's named Snappy. The plan is to take him back out to the woods and set him free. Go Snappy Go!

Office Mate
This our latest office mate. His name is Boudreaux. You don't see many Chihuahuas with Cajun names around these parts.

Office Antics
There has been a banana wandering around our office with some writing on the side. It says, "Hello. Please don't skin me alive and eat my meat." Someone in this office is being naughty and for a change it's not me!

One Kool Kat
Julius gets in the car today, buckles his seat belt, opens the glove box and pulls out a pair of dark glasses. "My dad lets me where these," he says as he leans back and surveys the world through his shades.
He leans forward and turns on the radio, listens for a sec, then cranks it up uncomfortably loud. He glances at me out of the corner of his eye to see what I'll do.
I lean up and say, "That's a litle loud," and turn it down somewhere between where he wants it and where I want it -- a mother-son compromise.
He leans back, staring straight ahead and smiles.

Philanthropy
Tristan supports Christian church camps by getting chocolate cake from the fundraising bake sale. Here is proof of his generous philanthropy.

The TV is Not for Climbing
Tristan is currently fascinated by climbing up on the stand that our TV sits on. I have a feeling this is all going to turn out badly.
Hell's Sow Bugs
The boys' bugs are seen here riding a tricked out motorcycle painted with flames. You won't see this on "American Chopper"!
Roly Poly Races
The boys prepare the contestants for the upcoming Roly Poly Races. In trial runs it appears that Julius has the real contender. Tristan's bug seems to mostly go in circles. My theory is that the bug is "too well-loved" and in the process has sustained some brain damage.

Mighty Wasp Hunter
Julius gears up to go check out a wasp on the back porch. I discouraged him as much as possible and he heaved a big sigh saying, "oh mom, don't WORRY!" I'm sure that's not the last time I'll hear that. Well, the wasp may get him but at least dressed like this I don't have to worry about anyone asking him out on a date.
Butterhenge
One morning in our kitchen we discovered a curious new mystery. Local archaeologists theorize that this new structure was built by a small tribe of dairy enthusiasts who use it as a ritual site for calculating cheese futures. Tickets for viewing this remarkable site will go on sale in the near future (if it doesn't get eaten first).
