Julius built this truck almost entirely by himself.

Testicle Emergency

Whenever Julius has surgery they always give him the leftover disposable medical equipment.

Last night he said there was a "testicle emergency" and he needed to wear his mask and put on my old leg splint.

I asked why he called it that and he said, "well testicle is a body part."

I said, "Did you maybe mean 'medical emergency'?"

"Oh yes, that's what I meant."

Boy Soup

Ingredients...

2 boys, plump
1 large tub of warm water
several generous helpings of tear-free shampoo

Fill tub to approximately 2/3.

Add boys one at a time.

Stir frequently until boys are a little wrinkled.

Remove boys from tub and discard water.

Done and ready to be placed on a bed of soft linens. Allow to rest overnight. Serve in a.m.

Trendy Wendy

Hey, there's a character named after me! I say that because I'm older so she MUST be named after me instead of vice versa.

Trendy Wendy is a creation of David and Goliath (not the bible ones).

Beautiful Art

On the left is a painting of Four Arms from Ben 10. On the right is an astounding crayon drawing of SpongeBob Squarepants. All done by Julius. Custom drawings and paintings can be commissioned by the artist for a nominal fee.

Couch Dancing

Tristan dances on his back while lying on the couch watching Baby Signing Time. We had a hard day today at Uncle Andy's funeral.

Trick to Get Your Kid to Eat

Tristan didn't want to eat his dinner until Rob had the brilliant idea of feeding him by holding the spoon in his mouth. Pure genius (until Tristan in his excitement sent the bowl tumbling through space to land upside down on the floor). Dinner OVER!

In Recovery

Rob is in the recovery room. He's like a happy drunk. Life is good for him. At least til the nerve block wears off.

Size Matters

This is a picture of our hail next to a quarter. I saw it with my own eyes and I still don't believe it.

Oh Hail

This picture really doesn't do it justice but we just had the most haillacious hailstorm. Gigantic quarter-sized hail and it sounded like the sky was falling. No insurance claim from the tornado but maybe from this. What the hail is it with this bizarro weather freaks of nature??

Tornado Video

The devastation is very bad here. Below is some video of the tornado that swept through our area. I'll post more in depth later as the pandemonium subsides. We do have electricity tonight. We had planned to camp out at our office, but the electricity came on tonight. We are on water boil order with water conservation recommended and an early curfew. All is well with the family tonight. So many others have it very bad. Thanks to everyone who has checked in with me. I'm not able to do much email or Internet now. As I can I will post here with news.

Rob spent the day delivering food to people who were working on their houses. The community is really coming together in an amazing way.

Tornado

A tornado came through our neighborhood tonight. We can't see much of anything in the dark but know it's bad. Rob is on the volunteer fire department. This is a pic he sent me from the site he's at. I'll keep you posted. I'm home with the kids, no electricity, no heat, but all safe. Can't beat that!!

Playing Doctor

Don't be alarmed... It's fake! Julius is wrapped in an Ace bandage and has a splint on his leg. He's propped up watching America's Funniest Home Videos and requests that I bring him milk and his vitamins like a good nurse. The cause of his "hospitalization", he explained to me, was his dad. "He tickled me so hard that my leg broke!"
