Wow, that's crazy! I had a 4 mm stone last summer that took about 3 weeks before it passed. Know what worked for me? I drank a beer. It came out that night.
Tati? It's empty? No, she's right there... I can see her. Can't you?? ;-) She was out getting another CT scan. She would KILL me if I took a picture of her in the hospital.
Heather, I snuck in some uva ursi. She says that does the same thing. She took some last night and a big piece of stone came out but apparently there's still a really big one still stuck in there.
They've given her two bags of antibiotics and two bags of potassium and some potassium also in her saline fluids. Apparently her potassium was really low.
Poor Momma! Keep her laughing -- I know you can. Hey and on the down low, see what good drugs she can leave the hospital with...HA! I am kidding. A little. No, really, I am. :-)
Greetings, travelers! If you've stumbled here from my Blogger profile I'll interrupt your perusing to say you might like my other blog, "On the Front Porch", better than this one. Originally this was intended for distant family and friends to keep them up to date on the daily minutia of our lives. I can't imagine why anyone else would care. So, if you get bored, or if my children frighten you as they sometimes do me, stop by my other fine blogs:

Is she okay?
She will be. It's a kidney stone that won't pass and she's getting an infection. They are trying to get it stopped before it gets worse.
You do realize that bed is empty, right? No Mom in sight ...
I hope she feels better soon - I hear kidney stones are worse than labor (of course, I heard that from a man ...)
